BK's Impossible Whopper is quite possibly the most well-known fast food veggie burger. It was launched late last summer and quickly became a must-try burger, even for those who don't care to eat meat-free.
Wendy's just added a new veggie burger to its menu—and it isn't made using vegan meat. Instead, the company has created its own new legume-based Spicy Black Bean Burger. Wendy's tops its new vegan black bean burger patty with lettuce, onion, tomatoes, jalapenos, chipotle sauce and melted cheese.
McDonald's new plant-based burger, aptly named the McPlant, is coming to eight restaurants across the US (via CNBC). The fast-food chain teamed up with Beyond Meat to make the meatless option. This comes about a year after McDonald's ended its P.L.T.
Featuring a plant-based patty made by Beyond Meat, the McPlant burger is finally making its US debut at McDonald's in select cities next month. On November 3, McDonald's will launch its first meatless burger, the McPlant, at select locations across the United States.
