What is a hop farm called?

The hop plant is a vigorous, climbing, herbaceous perennial, usually trained to grow up strings in a field called a hopfield, hop garden (nomenclature in the South of England), or hop yard (in the West Country and United States) when grown commercially.

How did they pick hops?

Families each had their own 'bin' for the hops they picked, started at the bottom of their allocated row and worked their way up the field. Heavy green bines of hops growing up poles and across strings in rows along the fields made it look like a series of tunnels.
