Is Dijon mustard the same as wholegrain mustard?

Whole grain Dijon mustard, or country Dijon, is Dijon mustard that has been made the traditional French method but also has whole grain mustard seeds. If you don't have whole grain Dijon mustard on hand, you can use regular Dijon mustard. It will offer a similar flavor, without the texture.

What is considered coarse mustard?

Coarse Mustards (Creole, Stone Ground, Whole Grain Dijon, Whole Grain Stout, Whole Grain Whisky) Creole, Stone Ground, etc.: These types of mustard use a coarse to chunky grind and usually have some texture in addition to good, deep flavor. Some versions of spicy brown could fall into this category.
