Using Dish Soap or Dishwashing Liquid Take a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid into a cup of warm water and use a sponge into the mixture. Try to wipe the oil stains with the sponge carefully, stop if you notice that the stain disappears. It is possible that the leather could lose its shine if you touch it too much.
Baking soda absorbs the oil, pulling it off of the fabric, which is a great method for heavy garments that can't be machine washed or must be dry cleaned, like a wool blazer. Chalk, believe it or not, works in a similar way to baking soda, but it's best for treating lighter stains and splatters.
