Can I vacuum seal fresh hops?

Can I vacuum seal fresh hops?

To keep your beer tasting fresh simply vacuum seal your hops in a VacMaster® Fresh bag and store in the freezer. The vacuum seal removes the air that will oxidize and compromise your hops, and the freezer keeps out the sunlight as well as provides the optimal hops storage temperature which is between -5°F and 32°F.

How long will vacuum-sealed hops last?

Re: Hops - how old is too old? Vacuum packed hops in an O2 barrier bag will last 2 years with not much degradation. The AA is going down, but in a freezer you are keeping this to a minimum. If the hops are not vacuum packed, and in a ZipLoc, they might only last a month according to the guys at Gorst Valley hops.
